Happy Easter!

Rejoice and be glad, for the promise of Jesus Christ has been fulfilled! Our Savior has risen from the dead.

Here is a card I made and actually sent to my mother and sisters in PA. I usually visit them during Spring Break, but wasn't able to do that this year.  This card has been in my file of favorites for a long time, but I don't know who the original designer was.
Products used to make this card:
Card stock: Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum, Whisper White
Ink: Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum
Stamp Sets: Elements of Style, Delightful Dozen, Crosses of Hope (retired)
Accessories: Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals

This card was really quick and easy to make, so I also made a few extra for local friends.

Thanks for stopping by!
Wishing you a very Happy Easter!

And the winner is......................

These are the supplies I gave to my stamp club members in February - well, to the ones that were up for a challenge.  They had to make a card using these supplies.  They could use other products (Stampin' Up! of course) but they had to use these items in some form.  If you scroll through the last 5 posts on my blog, you will see the 5 cards that were entered in this month's contest.  I used RANDOM.ORG to choose a winner and the winner this month is...............................

Anna
Anna will be able to pick something from my prize basket when she comes to stamp club in April.  I hope everyone is working on their cards for next month!!!

Club Contest Card 5

This is the card Anna made for this month's club contest.  Sorry for the bad photograph; my camera's battery was dead that night so I had to take the photo using my phone.  I couldn't keep the card because Anna was planning to give it to someone.  I love that!  I make a lot of cards, but they don't always make it to the mailbox!  I love the simplicity of this card.  This is the last card for this month's contest.  I will announce the winner later today!

Club Contest Card 4

This was Nancy F's card for this month's stamp club contest.  What says spring more than butterflies?  And with all the green I gave my club members to work with - it fits  perfectly for a St. Patrick's Day card.  Love how she used buttons on her card! Scroll down the posts to see the other samples.

Club Contest Card - 3

This was the card Linda made for our monthly stamp club contest.  The butterfly punch is one that I don't have, but I think I will be adding it to my next order.  I like how she punched the opening on the front of the card, then embossed the butterfly on the inside of the card.  Very clever.

Club Contest Card - 2

This was the card that Nancy made for the club contest.  I love how she was able to brighten up the green card stock with Designer Series Paper.  She also added a lot of interesting details that make this a really cute card!

Club Contest Card 1

Each month I have a contest for my stamp club members.  At February's meeting I gave them a card base which was scored in a non traditional way, and 3 pieces of green card stock in various shades.  It is always fun to see what everyone does with the same materials.  They are allowed to add stamped images and other embellishments.  This is Connie's card.  She always adds a lot of details to her cards.  Below is the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Come back to see the other cards my club members made!

March Club Project #4

We usually make two cards and one 3D item at my monthly stamp club meetings.  But this month I had so many products from the Spring Catalog that I wanted to share so we made an extra card.  This card was made using the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I ran several pieces of designer series paper through the folder and then hand cut them so that the pieces would fit inside the embossed areas on the white card.  I got the idea for this card from a card my sister made with her stamping group.  You can see her card HERE  It was fun to see the colors and designs that everyone chose for their card.  The other product I wanted to show my club members was the Soda Pop Tops.  These are bottle caps (2 sizes) but when you run them through the Big Shot, they flatten into a cute medallion.  I punched out a one inch circle of DSP for the larger medallion and 1/2" for the smaller one, below.  I used Crystal Effects on the larger medallion to make the paper look shiny.

March Club Project #3

This was the third project we made at my March Stamp Club meetings.  I didn't think I needed the Dress Up Framelits Dies when I saw them in the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog.  But when I "played" with them at a Stampin' Up! demonstrator's meeting last month, they went right on my next order!  They remind me of when I used to play with paper dolls as a kid.  Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper is perfect for making all kind of dresses.  Everyone at my club meetings had a lot of fun making their dresses and adding the accessories.  This one has a ribbon belt and pearl necklace.  I wish I had taken photos of the cards that everyone made, because they were all different and all very cute!

CONTACT ME  if you would like information about my Stamp Club meetings.  You do not need to be a member to come.  But I am sure once you give it a try, you will want to come back for more.  Stamping is great therapy.

March Club Project #2

This was the second project we made at my March stamp club meetings.  This is a pyramid card.  I found a video showing how to make these cards HERE.  I wanted to show my club members some of the great products from Stampin' Up!'s Spring Catalog.  CLICK HERE to download a copy of the catalog or CONTACT ME to receive your own personal copy!  One product I wanted to feature are the 5/8" flower trim.  These are really cute, and you get lots of flowers for only $6.95.  You can dye them any color you want by dabbing them onto an ink pad!  Another great product from the Spring Catalog are the Designer Builder Brads.  They have a low profile, so they add dimension, but not a lot of bulk.  Do you notice that the center of the brad matches the polka dot Designer Series Paper?  That is because you can add your own paper or even a small stamped image to customize these brads.  They come with epoxy bubbles to enhance the center.  Below is a size view of the card.  This card does fold to fit into an envelope for mailing.

March Club Project #1

This was the first project we made at my stamp club meetings in March.  It is a cute little basket - very easy to make.  I found the directions for making them HERE.  The measurements are not quite right, though.  The band around the top of the basket has to be 6 1/2 inches.  Below is a photo of the baskets next to a Stampin' Up! ink bottle, so you can see these are tiny!

A Test and The Score!

I was doing so well at posting to my blog every day, but I got off track the past week or so.   That was A TEST - to see if anyone was really reading my blog and would notice that I was slacking off!  Well, I am happy to report that several of you passed the test!

And now for THE SCORE.

Today I stopped in at the Thrift Store and this is what I found:
I have been on the lookout for these for years.  They are wooden cases designed to hold cassette tapes. They are just the perfect size for storing Stampin' Up!'s ink pads!  I already have 3 smaller ones that are attached to the wall in my craft room.  The pictures below show what the smaller ones look like and how the inks fit in them.

Sorry, but my craft room is a MESS from this weekend's stamp club meetings.  SO this is all I can show for now.

I have several days worth of projects to show you, so check back for club projects with links to directions for how to make them.  I will also have this month's contest cards to show you as well as some SWAPS.  Hopefully I will get back on track with my blogging.

This is another card that my sister, Donna, sent me.  I think we will be making a card similar to this in our March Stamp Club meetings this month.  I love this embossing folder, and I love how the Designer Series Paper fills some of the sections. Vintage Verses

This is a card I made to send as a thank you note to someone who has helped me with my Stampin' Up! business.  She also likes to quilt, so when I saw a card similar to this I knew I had to make one for her.  I was not crazy with the Summer Starfruit tag, so I changed it to Very Vanilla and made the card below.
As you can see I made this a horizontal card and substituted a tiny flower punch and pearl for the ribbon.  I like this card better, and don't want to send the first card (which I am not sure I like at all.)  So I have to make another one so I can keep this as a sample to show my club members!

Supplies used:
Gumball Green, Very Vanilla or Summer Starfruit card stock, Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, 1 3/8 square punch, Vintage Verses Stamp Set,  Raspberry Ripple ribbon OR Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack & pearl, Raspberry Ripple ink.

Two More SWAPS

These are the last two SWAPS I have to share with you from my team meeting the other week.  I do not know who made them, because the creators did not put their name or info on their cards.  The first card is made using the By the Tide stamp set from the Spring Stampin' Up! catalog.  This card has a lot of sparkle, that you probably can't see from my bad photograph!

The bottom card is made using the Best of Birthdays stamp set.  This was the first collector set to celebrate Stampin' Up!'s 25th anniversary.  Each month a new set will be released, with popular images from the past, plus one brand new image. CLICK HERE to see the first three sets in the series.  If you buy 6 of these sets over the course of the year, you will earn a free stamp set!  CONTACT ME for more information.

3x3 Easter Thanks

These are 3x3 cards that I made to stick in the bags with my customers' orders this month.
Supplies used to make the cards:
Whisper White or Very Vanilla card stock
Crosses of Hope (retired) and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets
Designer Frames Folders
Perfect Plum ink

I tried two ways to make the card.  The first time I embossed the card and then stamped the cross inside the frame.  The second time I stamped the cross first and embossed second.  I was not very good at getting the cross in the center of the frame!  I was in a hurry because Mr. Brown will be delivering another Stampin' Up! order TOMORROW!!!

PLEASE CLICK HERE to see my club meeting dates/times for March.

Check back because I am trying to add another date, since this will be the last club meeting during Sale-a-bration.  I just have to find a time that doesn't conflict with my teaching/church/Ben's soccer commitments!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

Five years ago today I took the plunge and became an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  I never in a million years thought I would get into direct sales.  I didn't  know much about stamping when I signed up!  But after I had a Stampin' Up! party in my home (to get free stuff to make Christmas cards) I was hooked!!   Stampin' Up products are the best!  I have learned a lot in the past five years and I am always learning from other talented and creative Stampin' Up demonstrators.  I get inspiration from them - and enjoy teaching others about stamping and paper crafting.  I have met so many wonderful people through my stamping clubs and classes.  I am looking forward to many more years with Stampin' Up!
This is the card I made and sent to friends and neighbors to invite them to my first open house.  It is a really clever pop up card.

PLEASE CONTACT ME  if you would like information about Stampin' Up and their great products.

Click here to go to my Stampin' Up website.  There you will see my schedule of events, the many specials going on at Stampin' Up ,  and you can shop 24/7.
